I am very excited to attend the St. Louis Pen Show for the first time ever! it’s coming up in just under a month. what’s more, I’ll be facilitating a Journaling Social at the show on Friday, June 23rd, at 3:30 pm! check out the official information on the STL Pen Show site. you can also share the Instagram post here.
I was a little nervous to put myself out there and pitch this event to the show coordinators; I’m not a St. Louis local, and attending the show will be an exercise in meeting new people for this introvert. but now that it’s official, I’m looking forward to a great time. in-person journaling meet-ups are among my favorite things. I believe there’s no wrong way to journal, and I love seeing other journal keepers’ systems and styles, be they Hobonichi, Travelers Notebooks, bullet journals, or the timeless composition book. people often think of journaling as a solitary practice, and with good reason—but when we stationery aficionados make it a group activity, amazing things happen!
please note, while it’s listed under Classes on the show schedule, this is not an instructional session, but rather a relaxed opportunity to spend time with your journal during the show. it’s also a great chance to work with any new pens you might pick up that day!
I will be bringing a stationery swap basket, where you can “destash” gently used supplies you would like to give away. I don’t know about you, but my studio runneth over and I almost always have something on hand that is waiting to find a new home. there might even be a couple fountain pens in that basket…
